Donate food

Your food and cash donations fill the shelves of our self-shopping area with staples and other necessary items. Please check expiration dates before giving us food. We prefer unopened and non-expired products.

Please deliver perishable items (see below) to the food bank during open hours. Nonperishable items also can be dropped off at food drives and the following locations: Ace Hardware, Gig Harbor Post Office, UPS Store, Fox Island Post Office, Safeway, Wild Birds Unlimited.

MOST NEEDED:
Juice, Baking Items (flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, nuts, coconut, cake & cookie mixes, etc.), Coffee & Tea, Macaroni & Cheese, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Spring Cleaning items ( 409, Windex, paper towels, detergents, cleaners of any kind)

Perishable items

  • Fresh produce such as potatoes, onions, & carrots

  • Refrigerated and frozen items must be dropped off during open hours.

  • Meat, including freshly caught, must be commercially packed, frozen and less than 1 year old.

  • Chilled items (milk, cheese etc) must be within expiration date and unopened.

Non-perishable food and grocery items

  • Canned and jarred goods e.g.: vegetables and soups, fruit, tuna, chili, beef stew, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, canned meats, jam/jelly

  • Pasta, rice, cereals, oatmeal

  • Fruit and vegetable juice

  • Coffee and black tea

  • Baking products, flour, sugar (1-5 lb packages), baking powder, baking soda, cake/cookie & muffin mixes

  • Razors, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner

  • Feminine products

  • Paper towels, tissues, toilet paper

  • Baby wipes

  • Diapers, greatest need, sizes 5 & 6

  • Laundry soap, dish soap

  • Pet Food, both wet & dry

  • Any items you might have on your own shopping list
