This event celebrates wellness through movement, play and connection. The Maritime Gig Festival is the highlight of summer in Gig Harbor! This cherished weekend tradition fills the waterfront with energy, excitement, and community connection. The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce parade is an annual celebration of the community in which we live, highlighting our rich history, traditions, and economic vitality. Spectators are welcome to line up anywhere along the parade route to watch. The 2026 Maritime Gig Festival Parade theme is “Stars and Stripes.”

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Carriers collect non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes and in post offices and deliver them to local community food banks such as GHP FISH. We appreciate their annual food drive to support GHP FISH.

The Key Peninsula Civic Center Livable Community Fair is a family-friendly, collaborative event made possible thanks to dedicated exhibitors, generous sponsors, amazing volunteers, and great local organizations. The event draws hundreds of attendees of all ages from the Key Peninsula, Gig Harbor, and nearby areas.

Windemere is hosting a LeMay Mobile Shredding event at their Soundview offices, 5801 Soundview Drive, Gig Harbor, WA. Participants are encouraged to bring food or donations for GHP FISH. GHP FISH will be present to receive any donations.

GHP FISH volunteers are at the entrance to Fred Meyer to provide lists of needed food and to accept food and cash donations.

We are known for the annual Empty Bowls event that delivers financial help to local organizations feeding Gig Harbor's families.

The Gig Harbor Lighted Car Parade and Santa's Village is held on the third Saturday in December every year. This year marks the sixth year of this spectacular event. Watch for the highly decorated GHP FISH van prepared and driven by one of our volunteers, Kevin Jacobsen.

The Cruisers travel around Gig Harbor showing off their cars and collecting food and toys for GHP FISH. Watch for them.

In 2002, Dr. Holmes' oldest son challenged him to run a marathon with him. From that simple beginning has evolved into an annual event with thousands of participants.

Grab your broomsticks and join us for the 3rd annual Gig Harbor Witches Brew! Whether you're a budding witch or full blown Sanderson sister, this event is perfect for all skill levels. So, gather your fellow wizards and witches, and let's hit the water.

We will meet at the Gig Harbor boat launch at 2pm and launch shortly after. Paddle through the harbor at your own pace and head to the Gig Harbor Lighthouse.

This year we will be a 'fill the caldron' charitable component to the event! We have officially partnered with GHP FISH this year! Kitsap Credit Union, 4747 Point Fosdick Dr, is celebrating the remodel of their Gig Harbor Uptown branch with an open house October 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring food or donations for GHP FISH.

Kitsap Bank, 4714 Point Fosdick Dr, is pleased to partner with the GHP FISH Food Bank and hosting a Shred Event on Saturday, October 4 from 9 am to Noon at Kitsap Bank’s Gig Harbor Branch. Must make a monetary donation to get your documents shredded. All donations raised at these events will go to supporting the GHP FISH Food Bank. Maximum of 75 pounds of shred per vehicle.

A competitive trap shoot event that has quickly become a favorite outing for first timers or for those who long to be back out on the range and shoot for fun.
